Classy but interesting chandelier

My husband and I were looking for something different, and at the same time classy & likely to still look nice in a few years. We really loved this chandelier when we found it, and after ordering it, we still love it. It looks exactly like the picture. The only con, is because of the structure of the light -- it directs a lot of light down towards the table, but not so much throughout the entire room.

This chandelier is so different looking and looks beautiful in my dining room. So different than the cookie-cutter chandelier that came with the house. love it.
New Asian chandelier

I was excited to get this fixture as we have had a vintage lamp from 1965 which never matched my furniture. When I saw this I had to have it. It is a beautiful piece. The only issue is the middle light only shows straight down as it is covered in the second cylinder fabric and does not put out light. Other than that, it looks very pretty above our dining room table and gives off enough light.
Lovely & Unique!

Wonderful chandelier....unique, nice, soft lighting....only issue was that I would have preferred it to be white rather than yellow-beige.

This is an elegant light that everyone compliments when they see it. It brings our home the Japanese-style calm atmosphere. It is bright enough for our high ceiling stairway. Be aware that the middle light doesn't shine through the shade because the two layers block light sideways. But the 4 side lights is bright enough to light up side ways.

We used it for above the kitchen table.
I love it.

It was relatively easy to install and I have received many complements in the few weeks I have had it up. Definitely not something you'll find anywhere else.
Needed some extra center light

Center light completely overshadowed by side lights if same wattage bulbs are used. Otherwise; gorgeous chandelier.

Easy to install and looked much better in person than online. The fabric is beautiful.

This fixture works perfectly in my contemporary home, but is not so over-the-top modernist that it would be objectionable to the masses. (Personally, I would go over that edge, but have to keep resale value in mind here - I know we will move in the next year or two.) It is hanging in a very large open space - an open stairwell facing a big window. It is the third fixture we have tried there because we needed something that was "space-filling" and dramatic. This one is perfect. The picture nicely illustrates the vaguely Asian style, but you might miss that there is a subtle pattern in the fabric shades that is very cool and complements the clean lines of the over-all design. One hint before the ladder is dismantled: put lower-wattage bulbs in the smaller "satellite" shades that surround the central large one so that the light output (and appearance of the shades) will be balanced.
