Exceptionally Heavy I could have gotten the lighter weight stand for our 9 umbrella but am glad I opted for this one. The umbrella doesn't move, and if we choose to use it without the patio table at some later time I'm sure it will be secure then as well. A very satisfactory purchase. |

Umbrella Stand I bought two years ago just bought another two. Great umbrella stands - they look good and hold up very well. |

re: Hole too small I bought four 75 lb stands to fit my also purchased 11' market umbrellas b/c that was the weight recommended for that size umbrella. The umbrella pole doesn't fit into the stand. Smaller umbrellas don't need so much weight, so what is the point of selling a 75 lb stand with such a small hole? Waste of money. |

It will keep your umbrella in its place I bought this to hold down a free standing 7' market umbrella. Nothing else we tried worked because of the occasional storms we get in North Texas. Well so far it has stood up to everything that mother natures has thrown at it. I have even forgotten to close the umbrella on a couple really windy days, but it held fast. The only modification I did was to drill a hole through this and the umbrella post and inserted a bold. This keeps the umbrella from turning in the base and makes it impossible for the wind to pull it out. This stand came with everything you would need for different size posts. It also comes with a low profile base attachment for using under things like a table.[...]It was expensive, but it is also the last one I will ever need. |
