Looks good in my living room I've put up several ceiling fans in my life & this one was just as straight forward as the other installs in this price range. The hardware is a bit more quality than the other brands. I like the sleekness of the fan. You can't see any of the fasteners & the blades rotate on a piece that that molds into the fan. Everyone that has seen this fan comments on the smooth curves. My only complaint about this fan is that the bulb that came with the kit blew in 5 minutes & it's a minican bulb. (Would have preferred a regular light bulb socket, but I liked the look of the fan that much that the minican setup did not matter.) I purchased a 75 watt minican bulb & it works well. ($9 after tax - minican bulbs are not cost effective) Good product - I'd recommend this fan to my friends based off style. |

First Class Fan This fan is first class. It is a very beautiful fan. I was originally going to purchase the bronze fan to match all of the other bronze fixtures in our antique style home, but my Husband talked me into the pewter. I am so glad he did because it added the perfect amount of eclectic contrast but still has a very antique look. The light cherry sided blade stands out well in a dark room. This fan is very well made. The light globe is custom made to perfectly fit the fan and has no screws that might crack the glass if tightened too much. There is no wobble when the speed of the fan is on high. The installation kit has all the tools needed to install it including a magnetic screw driver. All of the parts were very well packed in individual packaging. We bought three of these fans and the first one took about 2.5 hours to install, but that was due to the 1950's wiring in the house and not the fan. The other two fans only took 45 minutes. I am really impressed with this fan from the packaging to the final installed look and performance. I went to the local specialty fan store and I would have spent more than $250 for not half of the quality in this fan. Not the cheapest fan you can get but a good buy for the money. |

Classy Quiet Ceiling Fan This is third Akira fan I've purchased over the last couple of year. Love the style and functionality. I noticed this most recent version uses a quartz lighting element and a spiffy new remote. Same amount of effort to install as any other ceiling fan. I wish they would minature the receiver that goes in the electric box or consolidate it into the fan. It is very tight to get everything to fit corrrectly. This is a criticism for all fan mfgs, not just Fanimation. |

Very nice fan Very good looking fan. Fairly easy to install. The included light bulbs are not quite as bright as the my 2 x 60W bulbs. Fan only takes the candelabra type bulbs. |

Looks/Runs Great, Needs More Light I bought two for a big room. Very stylish. Quiet. Very stable, no wobble at all. You must use remote control module, no way to control light and fan speed at the fan (no pull chains). Light is not bad (120 watts), but more would be useful. |
