Dayva Tuscany Design Free Standing Umbrella Base
Great umbrella base!

Looks great and heavy enough to keep the big umbrellas from falling in the wind.

Although the base is heavy, an open umbrella in moderate wind tips over easily. A similar weight base of square bottom design we own, purchased at Lowes, withstands much higher winds without tipping. This base has a bushing for standard market umbrella size poles but only for the top. When the lower srew is tightened it pushes the pole to one side making the pole slanted from the base.
Good, attractive product

This is a really nice patio umbrella stand. I like the clean simple design, which was hard to find on the internet..most are ornate. It matches my table/chairs perfectly. I was afraid the fit wasn't right with my umbrella, but once I removed a plastic sleeve, it was fine. Hopefully it will make it through the winter (mild but with some snow in Portland, OR) with no issues.
Overall Good Product

Overall a good product with a very nice finish. Very secure. i like the double screw pole holder, most bases I've seen had oly one. Only problem was that one of the leveling screws with a rubber head on the base didn't really fit well. Had to use a pair of vice-grips to turn it. Also it does look great but it's a bit bigger than I'd expected under my patio table.
Don't try to lift it yourself

This base looks like it should help me by preventing the umbrella from blowing over and tilting the base on end. I have tried many bases and this by far the sturdiest. It cost more and shipping is high, but in the long run should out last all umbrellas that will be support by it. It was a worthwhile purchase and I recommend it. Just don't rey to lift it by yourself. Get a cart or another person to help you move it.
