Shag Mat

In her New York based design studio, Sandy Chilewich continues to discover ways to push textiles beyond their comfortable and sometimes monotonous context. Her woven vinyl, which has become her signature textile for tabletop, floormats and bags, is currently available in a wide selection of weaves and colors. Sandy’s passion is finding underutilized, often overlooked manufacturing techniques, and from them produce fresh, modern textiles. Over the past 10 years, Sandy has added spun and tufted vinyls to her collections. Sandy prides herself on original design and strives to bring a fresh perspective to the table.


Using the same colorful yarns as the woven vinyl products, the Shag Mat is tufted for a textured ‘looped’ look. Shag Mats are an all vinyl product which makes them ideal for bathrooms, outdoor terraces and entry mats. Available in either a doormat, utility or big mat these mats all come in a variety of wonderful colors that are sure to add a great modern touch to any room of your home.
