Blu Dot Writing Desk 51

I ordered this desk to replace a far more traditional one in my home office, and I couldn't be happier. It is very well made, elegant, sleek and perfect for the space. I bought the Slate color; it works perfectly with my earth tones-dominated house. This is a great desk and I recommend it very highly!

Spacious and compact. The sliding shelf is what makes this desk so great for a small office. I couldn't be happier with the thoughtful design. My only complaint is that the shelf doesn't want to close evenly when I push it all the way in--it juts out a bit on one side. What would have been perfection is marred by this one flaw.

I was concerned this desk would be too minimalist to be useful, but it's actually perfect for our home office needs. The red color is gorgeous, the lacquer finish shiny and cheerful (you do need to keep the microfiber cloth that comes with it handy to wipe off finger smudges.) It was easy to assemble and I'm confident it's a solid piece of furniture. Great price, too. We also bought the Blu Dot file cabinet in white and they look great together.

I bought the slate desk and it is perfect color and size (it is a big desk!). So far it's been very durable and I'm happy with the function of the pull out laptop holder.

I was looking for a sleek low profile desk and found Desk 51. It was not quite large enough due to my work load so when I found the Blu Dot Medium Stut Desk in the same colors that was it! Got them in gray and love it. What a great set up! Lots of compliments. I matched the desk easily with commercial lateral files. It is very sturdy and was easy to set up if you are used to putting this kind of furniture together. Important information includes that you need to turn Desk 51 upside down to install the keyboard tray and you need two people to do it. The only real issue for me is that both pieces show fingerprints and need to be cleaned daily. However windex works and a desk top cover helps too (like from Levenger). All in all I am thrilled, lots of desk top room, very attractive cost, very well made, very very modern!
