Michiel van der Kley (1962 - )

It was when Michiel van der Kley (1962) became acquainted with the design of the nineteen-twenties (during his study of history) that he decided to become a designer himself. He has been working for manufacturers at home and abroad since 1987, including Artifort. Van der Kley produces designs with a great eye for detail, from which he believes that the object derives its individuality.

The Seven Arm chair can be used as contract seating and due to its simple design will look great in lobbies, lounges and anywhere seating is necessary. The stitching at the upper side of the back accents the round shape of the inside part of the back. With these subtle details in upholstery and with nicely finished feet, the design reaches a high level of elegance.
