Architec The Gripperwood Sheesham Cutting Board
Stephen from Portland, OR– Verified Buyer
Beautiful grain on Sheesham, and this cutting board is no exception. Have even given mine a coat of Clark's Cutting Board Finish. I withheld a star because as I was applying the Clark's finisher with a paper towel, I felt the slightest ridge where the two halves of the board are laminated together in the middle. My only concern is that I can see the slightest hairline gap between the two pieces of wood, and I'm hoping this does not grow larger with use and age. One of the very worst flaws on a cutting boards are fissures, as they are a perfect "ravine" for the growth of bacteria. My hopes are up, and my fingers crossed; I know most cutting boards are laminated, BTW, and that doesn't bother me in the least. In fact, I've had a laminated board with dozens of laminated pieces for over 40 years. I just don't like to see any daylight (or dark of night) between the laminated pieces, or feel unevenness when I run my finger over the joints.
