As the Chief Designer for the Design Studio Mika & Heni in Budapest, Mika J.H. Kim has participated in several design projects and exhibitions, winning the Special Prize of the Korean Industrial Design Exhibition in 2001. Kim performs his design projects in various fields including product design, spatial design, graphic design and textile design upholding a strong holistic philosophy on ecological consciousness. Many of his products feature ecological design aspects through the use of environmentally-friendly materials and via their specific ecological ways of use. Kim has also lent his creative talents to Alessi in the design of the Dozi Paperclip Holder. Unlike traditional holders that simply act as a storage cup for these small unorderly items, Dozi is a highly magnetic surface that will make sure all of your paperclips, brads, thumbtacks and the like stay exactly where you want them while making a creative statement by visually appearing as the quills of this hedgehog shaped piece. Dozi is made from PMMA plastic and is available in three color options.
