Alessandro Mendini

Born in Milan in 1931, Mendini served as the former director of the internationally acclaimed design magazines Casabella, Modo and Domus, was the winner of a Compasso d'Oro and designer of the famous Groninger Museum in Groningen, the Casino in Arosa, and the Forum in Omegna. Known for his particular interest in neo-modern and contemporary design, he has amassed much recognition as a designer, architect and image consultant for many corporations creating many objects, furniture and interior installations. Mendini describes his mission as one “to communicate through my objects and work in general, trying to say things that encourage people to deepen meditation and spirituality.”
