Beautiful bed frame, very soft texture, great color, looks exactly as pictured. Delivery time was timely, respectful and quick to setup the frame without any issues. Only feedback regarding frame is that slats should be about 2” apart for supporting a mattress without a box spring - these are more like 4” apart, so we will have to add slats or get a low box spring base. Slats are Velcro’d in place so repositioning them and adding more should be easy. Haven’t slept on yet, still awaiting mattress.. Anonymous. Sat Feb 21 2026

We purchased the Cal King and a beautiful and solid wood piece that was easy to put together. We added a 9” box spring and have a 10” purple mattress on top; this gave a good height and I would recommend no lower then 18-20” because then you would see the non decorative slat on the headboard. The only issue, and this was in a previous review is that with the Cal King there is a few inches extra length. You don’t notice when the bed is made up but in order to keep your pillows from sliding off the bed we pushed the decorative pillows down between the mattress and headboard. I liked the piece enough to make the concession and maybe in the future we would build a 2x2 frame and add fabric to make an end piece to fit in here. If you push the mattress and box spring up to the head of the bed then you get the extra inches at the foot which is very obvious. The bed is absolutely beautiful and the assembly was easy enough. Unfortunately, when the boxes arrived, the bag containing all the hardware (screws, nuts, bolts, etc,) was not sealed and the pieces were loose in the box. Luckily we did not see any damage to the wood due to hardware scratching it in transit. However, when the box was opened the hardware piece's rolled out everywhere. The bed is beautiful and very well made. It takes at least 2 people to assemble and due to screws not lining up properly (i’ve read about this in other reviews as well) takes a decent chunk of time. Be aware that the frame sits much lower to the ground than it appears in the images, check the measurements. I gave 4 stars because the mattress sits very deep in to the frame, it was difficult to put sheets on. I had to purchase a 4” metal bed riser so that it would sit higher.. Natalie. OH.
