The furniture item itself is very well made of fine wood, and it is beautiful. However, I had to get two of them because the first was damaged, and replacement unit was also damaged. ALMODERN made it possible for me to salvage good parts from the two damaged units so I could fabricate ONE almost perfect unit. THE PROBLEM occurred at the manufacturer's end. I love this TV stand, though it is definitely a warmer toned wood than the photos make it seem. There is more red in what I received versus the more cool tone in the photos. The soft close doors and drawers are sturdy and smooth. Beware that if you have stuff set on top of this item and it is exposed to sunlight, the top will fade and the spots under where your items were set will stay dark. I completely love this sideboard. If you’re on the fence about it, BUY IT! Arrived early and the delivery men were so accommodating and communicative. There’s a small crack on the BACK of the sideboard but I’m not worried about it being that it will face the wall.
