The table did have a small chip upon the delivery drivers opening it but we were able to get that handled with customer service easily. There is a blotchy shine or lamination on the surface that I'm not sure if it should be scrubbed off or ignored (it's not painfully obvious). Really beautiful dining table, and assembly was rather simple. We switched to this from a much longer table and I was initially worried my large, upholstered dining chairs would dwarf the table, but fortunately they fit wonderfully!
