Very Nice Lights[...] from Solomons, MD on 07/19/2011
We are using two of these lights...one on either side of a king-sized bed and they do a great job as reading lights. The 35 watt halogen bulb is more than adequate for this purpose, and the dimmer/switch lets us get just the right illumination. Installation was very straight forward and the lights weigh little enough that the sheetrock anchors give a very good installation, with no need to adjust the locations to secure them to an underlying stud. Look at the dimensions though as we did, and be aware that these lights are not physically large. You need to have a plan for "hiding" the electric cords. The black large diameter 3-wire cords are not very attractive against a white or light colored wall. We bought a couple of lengths of white cordmate tubing and ran the cords through them to the floor. Some white vinyl electrical tape was used hide the bit of cord at the interface between the light and the cordmate tubing. Only this black cord and the need to do something about it prevented a 5-star rating.

Perfect as overbed light from Woodridge, IL on 01/08/2012 – Verified Buyer
An injury led to my husband needing a hospital bed to reduce swelling in his injured leg and also help him move about. Up to now weve used our 56 year-old bookcase headboard, with a nice reading light perched atop. After much searching at stores and online, the reviews led me to trust that, not only this light match the bedroom hardware, it would be perfect for reading and easy to control the brightness. I followed the advice given by one reviewer found a small bottle of sample wall paint on sale for a dollar and painted the cord to blend with the wall. My hubby now has a room that hes quite proud of (first time in his life hes had his own room) and the lamp even blends with his hosptial bed. He doesnt even use the ceiling light. Theres a great variability from soft nightlight, if desired, to bright.

Beautiful, but whats with the stupid power cord from Montrose, PA on 08/18/2013 – Verified Buyer
It is beautiful and functions well, but it is badly designed as regards the power cord. We needed to wire it directly into the wall and it was a major pain. They have a black cord coming through a grommet at the bottom of the wall piece. It would be far better if they designed it to actually be directly wired. I can't imagine wanting to have a thick black power cord hanging down the wall from this otherwise very lovely unit!

great little lamps from Sault Ste. Marie, ON on 04/21/2013 – Verified Buyer
The only problem with this lamp is the black cord not shown in the picture. The lamp is a soft brushed metal and the black cord is made that much more obvious by the contrast.
