Assembled product looks just like the photo! from Portland, OR on 05/20/2015 – Verified Buyer
While it took my very organized and capable son-in-law 3 hours to put together (there are several 100 parts), the assembled kitchen is fabulous. We purchased it for a 12 month old who is already actively enjoying opening and closing the doors, talking on the phone and manipulating the dials. This stand alone kitchen is sturdy with solid and well fabricated parts. We recommend the product and look forward to our grand children enjoying it for many years. We also purchased the 101 piece Play Food Assortment that offers teaching opportunities of colors, shapes, food names as well as counting of multiples, groups and same/different concepts. We removed a few smaller pieces to avoid any potential choking hazard due to the age of our granddaughter.

Pros: A sturdy and stable stand alone play station with functional moving parts that appear to be well made.
Cons: Labor intensive (time) to assemble. Requires organization and patience as well as attention to the instructions provided.

Takes long to set up, but TOTALLY WORTH IT! from Lewisburg, PA on 05/11/2015 – Verified Buyer
This took me about 3 hours to set up, but my 1 year old LOVES it. Opening and closing the doors is fun for her, but it is very substantial so her repeated opening/closing doors does not have me worried that it will fall apart. I know we will get years of use out of it as the 5 year old cousins love it too! We are putting it in our kitchen in our new house because it is not an ugly toy that will stand out, but will give my daughter an area to play right next to her parents.
Also, I couldn't stop raving when I was setting it up that all of the screws and pieces were individually labeled and grouped together- no hunting for pieces like other furniture set ups have been for me in the past!

Pros: Substantial; easy to understand directions; GREAT packaging (no damage, all of the individual screws were grouped together and labeled according to instructions)

good quality kitchen! Its better than mine! from Vancouver on 12/09/2014 – Verified Buyer
OK, this took HOURS to put together (between a toddler & infant distractions)!! The instructions were very easy to follow, I only put one easy to fix white shelf holder upside down. I bought this for xmas for my 20 month old son (and 4 month old daughter can grow into it in just a few months too) I'm certain he will love it. He does love slamming cupboards in our kitchen making a disaster of everything - that was the best part I discovered while assembling: the cupboards on this have a plastic holder thing that if they're slammed they will not bounce back open!
I prefer the wood(pressed board) on this compared to plastic kitchens
The red is really bright and a great color if it does get scratched I'm certain you can find a tiny bit of craft paint for touch ups.
The handles, tap, sink, burners and decals are plastic. When your assembling take extra care not to screw on too tight I snapped a burner screw off going to tight, but It did not matter to much, the burner is not loose nor visibly cracked. After reading the reviews before purchasing I made sure I had plenty of time to assemble it before xmas and once I got it in the mail I took that advice that it takes FOREVER to assemble, that I put it together right away (I did not want to procrastinate until xmas eve rushing through it) and it's hiding in our office closet until xmas. So basically if you can put this together you can assemble a real kitchen. But it is worth it its really cute! Can't wait for him to play.

fun kitchen once assembled from Alden, MI on 12/30/2014 – Verified Buyer
The good: This kitchen looks great, and the toddler recipient is having a lovely time playing with it. It's compact and complete, arrived ontime.

The bad: The unit components smell strongly of VOCs out of the box. Like, very strong paint/adhesive smell on the whole house floor where we assembled it. It offgassed the initial flood of chemicals pretty quickly (36 hours?) but a few weeks later still stinks inside the cabinets.
Assembly took a long time (though that seems to be true of all play kitchens).
The sink fixtures feel like they might break. I am not excited about the type of plastic/silver paint used on the "hardware" being handled a lot, so I skipped installing the phone.

Plan ahead and assemble well in advance of presenting this to a child to avoid headaches (from difficult assembly and offgassing). It's a really good looking toy with lots of imaginative potential.

Overall good product, just wish it came with different latches for easier opening and closing of doors. from Billerica, MA on 02/25/2015 – Verified Buyer
I ordered for my 2 year old daughter. Took about 4-6 hours to put together, so just be patient. But comes with clear instructions, and what I like about it is the package that has all the nuts and bolts is in one package. They are clearly labeled and separated so you can easily find what bolt goes with what. The one thing I didn't think was a great idea, is the latches on the doors. Yes the doors close, but for a two year old, they really have to yank at the door to open and slam the door to close. It probably would have been better with magnets (for a gentler open and close), but other than that, product is good. Glad I went with wood and not plastic. Much nicer. Daughter loves it!

***** LOVEEE ITTT!!! from Edmonton, KY on 12/31/2014 – Verified Buyer
Looks EXACTLY like the picture & was even better than I expected it to be. I received this Kitchen within 2 days of placing my order, which absolutely amazed me. It is my daughter's new favorite toy, she plays with it everyday. It does take a while to set it up, approx. 3hrs for us, but the time it takes and the price of this product is most definitely worth it. This kitchen is very sturdy and safe, and the quality is just wonderful. The only con I have is not finding this Kitchen sooner. I am EXTREMELY SATISFIED with the whole process of this purchase and more than pleased by the product. (:

Cute retro look and very well made from AL on 01/23/2016 – Verified Buyer
We purchased this play kitchen in the color pink as a Christmas gift for our then 20 month old granddaughter. She absolutely loves playing with it and cooking her Mom & Dad pretend meals.
It took her Dad about 2 hours to assemble with no problems. This play kitchen is very detailed and very well made. The tallest part of this play kitchen is the refrigerator being 35 inches tall. I'm sure
our granddaughter will outgrow this play kitchen by the time she's 4 or 5 so don't buy it to grow with your child. But, she enjoys playing with it and seeing the smile on her face, it was money well spent.

Pros: Cute, detailed and very well made. So far very durable.
Cons: Tools used to assemble: a screwdriver and an " allen wrench".

Great toy hard build from Great Falls, MT on 09/11/2015 – Verified Buyer
I got this for my nephews 3rd birthday. It was the first toy he played with and played for a couple hours with no break! This kitchen looks great put together, it's very sturdy and the pieces are attached well so he can pull and hit things without us worrying he's gonna break it. With no help this kitchen took me about 2.5 hours to put together, literally every piece has to be put together. It wasn't necessarily hard to put together you just need a screw driver, it was just very time consuming!

Pros: sturdy, looks great
Cons: takes along time to put together

Very good quality... long assembly time. from Gainesville, FL on 12/22/2015 – Verified Buyer
I'm happy with this purchase. It's nice quality and attractive. All the pieces fit together well and the pre-drilled holes were all spot on. Overall, the unit was a little smaller than I would have liked, but that was on me to check the measurements before I ordered. It'll be a good size for the 2+ year old I bought it for, but my 6+ year old daughters would find this a little undersized. Only negative is assembly time. I am a seasoned DIYer and it took me 2-1/2 hours to assemble this (no breaks). The assembly instructions were very good and I didn't have any problems... but there are a lot of parts!

Pros: very good value, very attractive
Cons: lot of assembly time required.

Love this little red kitchen! from Flower Mound, TX on 01/06/2015 – Verified Buyer
Our nearly two year old granddaughter loves her little red kitchen! We are so pleased with the sturdy quality and the attention to detail, and we feel sure Sadie will be playing at her kitchen for many happy years. It took hours to put the kitchen together, but having instructions which were very easy to follow, and having the gazillion screws, bolts, and nuts all so well organized and contained really made the job easy. It takes so much time because there are so many parts. I love that the exposed screw heads are even painted red! I was a little surprised at the kitchen's finished size. I never looked at dimensions before ordering...just pictures. It is short, and I thought it would be bigger, but I'm not dissatisfied with the size... just surprised.
