Much quieter alternative to wire crating from SAN JOSE, CA on 02/20/2014
If your dog likes being crated, but doesn't need to be locked away for safety, this crate is lovely. It is very easy to set up and take down, and is very quiet (no jangling of metal crate joints).

We adopted an ex-track greyhound who spent 9.5 years living 18-20 hours a day in her wire crate, so we needed one for her comfort until she was less anxious. The metal crates are too noisy for the bedroom where she wanted to sleep at night, so this was a great alternative. This one makes virtually no noise at all when your pooch gets up and resettles.

The zippered case the whole crate comes packed into is very nice. It's thin, flat, and very tidy to store.

Cons:
NOT safe to leave your pet in while you're gone, obviously. They can biteclaw out of it easily.

*Heavy* vinyl stink it has when it's new. It took about 10 days in the open air to off-gas. My dogs wouldn't lay in it until then.

Good Soft Crate for the Money from DFW on 06/19/2013 – Verified Buyer– Top 1000 Reviewer
Dome top can help if your dog is too leggy and too tall for normal height wire or soft crates.

Windows that can be opened or closed are great for accommodating dogs with different preferences.

This is a soft crate. Made of fabric. Good quality fabric (although I have seen some more expensive soft crates with stronger fabric). Works fine for a calm adult dog that is crate trained.

If you are planning to setup in a vehicle make sure you can accommodate the height.

If you want to be able to access your dog often to pet or check on consider one with a flat top with a door on top.

If you put a puppy, an aggressive dog, a chewer, a digger, or one with separation anxiety in h ere you are of course going to get bad results and should not whine about it in reviews. All the manufacturers of soft crates are clear that these are for calm adult crate trained dogs.

Nice color and a good alternative to hard crate. from San Rafael, CA on 09/15/2015 – Verified Buyer
This is the second one of these I have purchased. So obviously I think is is useful. Love the green - great that it is so easy to fold up and transport....lightweight. I think if your dog is crate trained in a hard crate, he or she should be fine in this for travel etc. If it were stronger and easier to clean, would give it five stars - but then if it were stronger and washable, somehow it would lose other qualities probably. I also like the roll up and down windows!

Pros: Lightweight, super easy to use, ventilation nice, lovely color, good size for the dogs to move around but not cumbersome for the owner to deal with.
Cons: It is a little flimsy if you have a dog that really wants out, but for the price and for most dogs, it should work well!

Berry's Babies from Chicago, IL on 06/22/2014 – Verified Buyer
We brought this crate to take our dog Joey on short trips with us. We soon found out he didn't want anything to do with it. We try toys, treats, and putting his food in it. I even got in it to show him it was ok but, no way was he going in there. One day after work I was looking for him to greet me at the door but, he was fast asleep in the crated. My husband had put one of his bed inside the crate and he love it the pad that came with it was much to thin. SO, if you choose this crate make sure you get a better pad for you dog .

Indoor Pet Tent from Puyallup, WA on 09/19/2015 – Verified Buyer
Roomy interior with enough space to put a soft sided dog bed inside for extra comfort. Our 4 month old Standard Poodle puppy is somewhat of a chewer, so we don't leave the crate accessible during the day and he only sleeps in it at night. It works wonderfully to keep the puppy contained and allows sufficient space for him to stretch out while he is sleeping without the noise of a hard sided plastic crate.

Pros: Easier to move around than the hard plastic crate and much quieter.
Cons: Opening/entrance is somewhat low, especially for the overall crate size. Though, the puppy doesn't seem to mind.

from Albuquerque, NM on 01/29/2016 – Verified Buyer
This is a LARGE crate but about right for transporting my greyhound in the mini-van. It folds up compactly for storage and is easy to set up. Because it is soft sided, it would not provide protection in the event of an accident and is not appropriate for air travel. But, my dog accepted it readily and it served its purpose of keeping him comfortably confined during our cross-country auto trip. Good ventilation on all sides and provides good visibility of animal (and animal's outward visibility) -- would probably be good for camping.

This carrier is a must have for pet owners from Lakewood, NJ on 05/12/2015 – Verified Buyer
I have seven cats and this is just one way I can transport them. We recently moved and had to relocate twice before landing "home" for real. This carrier helped get us all there...intact. It's well made and well worth the price. I don't yet know about longevity but it certainly looks as though it will last. I'm not saying a good German Shepherd pup couldn't chew his way out when nobody's looking, but for my cats it works great.

Pros: Great value and big enough to hold more than one small animal (ie. two cats)
Cons: None forseen

Great crate from Worcester, MA on 12/03/2014 – Verified Buyer
I have seen a lot of portable crates, this one is top of the line without directions it took me all of 5 minutes to set it up. My dog went right in it and laid down. It's bigger than I thought but he will grow into it I'm sure

Pros: Easy up, easy down, comes in a case with large handles for easy carrying
Cons: None yet

Portable carrier from Tampa, FL on 11/03/2015 – Verified Buyer
This carrier is used for my two cats. Little brothers that like to stay together and snuggle while traveling. We haven't had any problems with the carrier. The zippers work fine, there's adequate air flow. Window coverings are adjustable. Mat covering is zippered and can be removed and washed. I washed it in the machine and it held up just fine. I may get one more when the kittens are grown.

Pros: Easy set up and fold down, washable mat cover
Cons: none

MORE THAN I EXPECTED from Oak Creek, CO on 04/25/2015 – Verified Buyer
30 SECONDS TO ZIP TOGETHER. COMES WITH A CARRYING CASE. I WAS SURPRISED AT THE QUALITY. A HEAVY COATED CANVAS TYPE MATERIAL. VERY TALL WITH GOOD SIZED WIDOWS. VELCRO TABS KEEP THE WIDOW AND DOOR FLAPS OPEN. ZIP TO CLOSE THE DOOR. VELCRO SPOTS KEEP WIDOW FLAPS SHUT IN THE WIND. THE MAT IS FINE FOR HOTEL FLOORS. I WOULD RECOMMEND A BEEFIER PAD WHEN NOT ON CARPET. THREW IN MY PUPS BLANKETS AND BABIES, THEN MY PUPS JUMPED RIGHT IN. ONE TOOK A 2 HOUR NAP.

Pros: FAST TO ZIP TOGETHER, VERY DURABLE
