4 stars because of the tabs on top and bottom from Greenfield Center, NY on 12/11/2014 – Verified Buyer
This mirror is wood with the design printed on a shiny synthetic material that is glued onto the frame and has 4 tabs around 1/2 inch wide, 2 on top and 2 on the bottom, that wrap around the frame's edge. The quality is quite nice- there are no bubbles or wrinkles in the material that holds the design. My only complaint is that the 4 tabs that wrap around the frame are obvious because they are not flush with the top and bottom of the frame that they wraparound. They stick out on the edge and thus can be seen when looking at the mirror straight on. I love the design and colors. The background is more of a subtle dotted beige/taupe than gray in the photo. Actual oval mirror surface is around 12.5 inches wide and 16.75 inches tall on the medium mirror. There are no hooks on the mirror to hang it, but the wood was soft enough for me to twist picture hanging hooks into the back and string a wire in between.
