Does everything its praised for from Olympia, WA on 03/16/2014 – Verified Buyer
We shopped for a long time to find a replacement for our smaller, cheaper slow cooker, whose (removeable) inner pot failed after about ten years. We'd used that one often for cooking in the garage during heatwaves as well as for anything in the winter that could be cooked without using the range ovenstovetop. We wanted a few tradeup features, like bigger capacity, reliable range of heating, and programmability. There are so many different slow cookers out there, at all price points. There were a few with more features that would have been nice...but we didn't want to pay that much for a small appliance that gets lugged around or whose components can break. The bottom line: We've used this Cuisinart many times in the past three to four months, have been delighted with how well it slow cooks stews and roasts, and find it performs well. One bit of advice: read the manual. The heating curve is designed for food safety, and like all slow cookers we've used, it requires the inner pan to be at least half full to work well. So size your slow cooker with that in mind. We haven't thrown the Kill-a-Watt on it yet for an energy use study.

Cadillac of crock pots from Clifton, VA on 11/13/2015 – Verified Buyer
This is a fabulous crock pot. Versatile and good looking, you could leave this on your countertop year-round. I particularly like the retractable cord: ensures there is no cord hanging down for little ones to grab and pull over. Includes a small rack for cooking with ramekins. Glass lid allows you to see what's cooking. Pros: glass lid; retractable cord. four settings, ample size Cons: none

Disappointed from Casa Grande, AZ on 06/18/2014 – Verified Buyer
I was so excited to get my new slow cooker and was very disappointed. My old one was used by someone else and accidentally melted the cord. I thought with a name like Cuisinart I would be getting good quality, I also read all of the reviews. The first meal I made using a pork loin and some veggies I cooked on low allowing it to go into the keep warm setting for a little while, all I can say is thank goodness for GRAVY! The next meal I tried was a traditional roast with veggies on high even checking it with a meat thermometer halfway thru and shortening the cooking time by an hour and it still came out like a brick, again thank goodness for GRAVY! There is no seal with the lid, my other one had latches on each side of the lid where the handles were and two venting holes on the lid. I don't know why letting out the steam would make it better but right out of the box it was very rare that I had anything get dried out to make it NEED GRAVY. I guess this will be going back and the search will continue. Sorry to have to leave a negative report.

I love this slow cooker. I got one for me and a friend and we both love them! I have another friend with a different brand and this one beats it by far! The quality is excellent and everything cooked in there is so good! I'm very happy with it.

Cuisinart from Avery, CA on 12/22/2013 – Verified Buyer
Can't go wrong with Cuisinart. Good product, good price. The only complaint I have is that the UPS person left it on my front porch, in the snow, and I wasn't notified of the delivery. Fortunately, no harm done.
