Great bed for my 4 year old from Dumfries, VA on 07/09/2015 – Verified Buyer
I did a lot of research before buying this bed. Chose this bed because it's all wood and had a high weight capacity. Overall, I'm really pleased. The bed took about 3 hours to put together and we were missing one screw for the railing but it seemed sturdy enough. I bought a $99 mattress from Amazon that measured 7" and it's a perfect fit. The slide is great but a little fast. The height of the bed is perfect for putting a younger child to bed. The play space underneath was a couple inches lower than I imagined. I can just barely sit under there at 5' tall but my average size 4 year old is fine. My plan is to eventually buy the hide-away desk when she out grows the slide.

Pros: High weight capacity, looks exactly like picture,
Cons: Assembly was difficult

Fun bed! but low rails... from Rochester, MI on 08/17/2014 – Verified Buyer
My son loves his new bed! Took several hours to put together, but the look on my son's face was well worth it. However, one issue we had was that we purchased a 'pillow-top' mattress before it arrived, and once we put the mattress on top, it was almost as high as the rails. Since our son needs guard rails specially on this type of bed, we had to buy a second much thinner mattress (the memory foam type, which I was initially against due to the high VOCs) that was only 8" high, so it would be as how it's shown in the picture.
