Expensive for End Product from FL on 03/19/2013
I do love this item. However, it is expensive for what you get. The light does not really shine much on the flowing water, but does around the bottom base. Also the water sound is very light and motor loud. Nice to look at while running, but should not cost so much for end product. I am in North Florida, I BETTER ADD WATER EVERY DAY or the pump will not be submerged! As a result I unplug it when not in use. The instructions indicate to leave it running for less wear on the pump motor. Cannot do that here! I am adding a gallon a day distilled water, takes about 7 to fill it the first time. About $30 to run monthly,

Great... AFTER I had to tinker & fix it! from Fairfax, VA on 10/19/2010 – Verified Buyer
SUMMARY: Buy it if you're an engineer OR very handy; do NOT buy it if you NEED it to work right out of the box (see below for details) The unit was easy to setup. I did it by myself in about an hour of careful and deliberate assembly. The instructions for the motor are horrible, especially since the paper instructions were for a previous model which looks completely different! Up at the top of the mirror / metal, the mirror needed to be flush with the metal so that the water goes from the metal to the mirror easily. However, the (probably Chinese?) manufacturer failed to catch the separation between the glass and metal, so the water flew off the metal into the air and then all over the floor. I had to tinker with it and ended up adding rubber "feet" onto the mirror to provide a step. By doing that, the water at least went from the metal and then contacted the "feet" and then down onto the glass. It works fine now and looks great. However, it's pretty clear that the manufacturer's assembly workers AND quality control people don't know HOW their own product works (and won't work). Otherwise, they'd reallize that a flush assembly between the glass and metal are crucial. I would have returned it, but I'm sure the 150lbs would have cost hundreds of dollars for me to ship back to the merchant. Hope the above helps!
