The 826, Ufficio Tecnico Alessi, 1948, is a variation on an age-old theme in the history of household products: that of the metal wire basket. This was the first object to emerge from research by the internal engineering department on wire bending technology, in the late 1940's. It led to the creation of a small family of baskets with very basic design which, even today, reaps enormous kitchen success. Official Alessi design of 1948.
