This table is pretty great although it stains very easily, almost like there is no sealer on it. The other negative is we kept having problems with Wayfair sending us the right one. This was for a cabin so each time it was a wrong order, it was another drive that was wasted. Wayfair really didn't do much to compensate. There is a blotchy shine or lamination on the surface that I'm not sure if it should be scrubbed off or ignored (it's not painfully obvious). This table is gorgeous. I wanted a solid wood table top, not a veneer. It looks black in the photos, but in real life it's very dark with brown undertones in the stain. The effect is gorgeous, but definitely not black up close. I did have an issue with the hardware during assembly: needed to go out and purchase longer screws (4) and additional washers (12). This is the only time I've ever had an issue assembling an AllModern piece. Luckily it was only a $7 trip to the hardware store to fix so I didn't need to get Customer Service involved, but the assembly/hardware for this product needs to be reviewed. I like how different this table is aesthetically and although it looks modern you can change the style based on what chairs and decor you do. The table looks very white online but there is a warmer hue to it. I paid for the assembly which was definitely worth it because this table is very heavy. The guys that delivered it scratched it a bit because it was heavy but luckily it was under the table. I am more careful with what I place on it but when it gets a lot of scratches I think I can always paint over it. Also, 8 would be a tight fit. I think this is more of a 6 person table.
