No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Lamp does not have the displayed colors at all. Is a real pain to set-up. Almost 45 mins. Lenses scratch and get dirty easy. Doesnt have a dimmer either. Ive tried a soft white, floresent and clear inccandesent blub. Nothing seems to bring out the colors showed in the picture.
