My living room is 14x16x10(H) and this fan takes up about half the width of the ceiling. Great fan once it actually got up. We had a really difficult time affixing the fan base to the mounting plate. Took us about an hour to finally get it there. LOVE the fan. Super sleek and quiet with nice airflow. I will say the installation was a bit more complicated than expected. The directions are generic for all fans, so you need to make adjustments if you don't have the light fixture option. Also, it was difficult to thread the wires and the pin through the down rod. I like the remote with cradle which I attached to the wall next to the switch. So upon entry flipping the switch turns on the fan/light as well as a bedside lamp plugged into the half-hot receptacle. The fan light is not real bright but adequate for a bedroom and dimmable. For looks I give 5 stars, my wife gives it 4. Fan is not whisper quiet and install was a bit more difficult than other ceiling fans I have hung. I found the "safety cable" to be useless - unless I put a screw into my freshly painted ceiling to attach it (?) plus it was in the way so I used tin snips & got rid of it. Anyway the drawbacks didn't prevent me from buying a second one so the two rooms match, and I'm sure that second install will go more smoothly & quicker.. Daniel A.. Phoenix, AZ. Wed Sep 14 2022

Did come with 6” down rod so I had to purchase the 12 and 18 elsewhere to find the right fit, not much of an addl cost and easy to find in 1” diameter, swapped them out myself. Lots of compliments on this fan. I replaced one of those big bulky fans with the dated bell lamps.
