Alfredo Häberli was born in Buenos Aires in Argentina in 1964, but moved to Switzerland in 1977, where he trained as an industrial designer at the Höhere Schule für Gestaltung in Zürich, graduating in 1991. Since 1993 he has had his own design studio, with his most famous works being the stripy porcelain he designed for the Finnish company Iitalla, furniture for Mosors and furnishings for stores such as the Camper store in Paris and the Kvadrat showroom in Milan. Over the last 17 years, Alfredo Häberli Design Development has become a prestigious international design studio. Mr. Häberli has taught at design schools throughout Europe and the United States, and has participated at a host of exhibitions worldwide. He has also received a number of prestigious awards for his work. Alfredo Häberli finds inspiration for his elegant, minimalist designs in everyday life – gathering impressions into themes so he can always draw on them if he suddenly finds a use for them in a new context. His products are so ingeniously simple, they can all be described in just a few phrases. One method he uses is to keep observing his work again and again throughout the process: "Observing is the most beautiful way to think. I am constantly discovering new things in a single object," he says about his work.

I havent had a chance to use it or put it to the test but out of the box it looks just as described and is just what I was expecting. Based on that alone .... 5 stars!
Great pop of (multi) color

This bowl was a little smaller than I had imagined, but it provides a great pop of (multi) color, and goes well with the dessert bowls by the same manufacturer.

But it is not worth the price. The photography of the product is great, but lets face it... you don't sit there and stare at your bowls at eye level. And so they're not that great when you take them out of the box for what you pay for them.

This is fantastic bowl. The construction feels very sturdy and the glazing is lovely. The colors are bright and the stripes are very even. I am enjoying this piece so much I may order some others in this line.

I use this as a fruit bowl. Looks great with fruit in it and looks great empty. No need to put it in the cupboard because it looks so nice out.

Nice clean lines, well made but not made in Finland like websites says, Finnish company but manufactured in Indonisia (per label on bottom of bowl)

We are remodeling our basement using a retro look. The bowl is great quality and the fun colors blend right in with the mid century colors, but it also looked great on the table upstairs where we use more traditional colors.
Very nice serving bowl

The bowl looks great, is deep enough to hold a godo amount, but not too deep. I like it a lot and it matches other Iittala items if you want the design carried through.

Beautiful piece but seems smaller than I thought it would be. You'll get a lot of complements.

Fabulous modern Italian design makes this bowl a real standout. Looks more expensive than it is!
