My son played with these for hours and I was impressed with the creativity it brought out in him!
Smaller than expected
Blaine from Virginia– Verified Buyer
It's smaller than I thought it would be and it doesn't stick like a magnet. The boys are not using it because it's not what we were expecting.
Good for little builders

Perfect for kids ages 3-6 especially if they love putting things together. It challenges them to come up with designs, for housess, cars, animals, whatever they can make up with the shapes. The pieces are too small and the magnetic that holds them together comes out easily. Have super glue handy! Neverthless, great toy to stimulate your kid's imagination.
NOT worth the $$
Mommy from SoCal
We got our Magic Shapes Magnetic Toy Jar by Edushape today. My 3.5 year old daughter has been playing with them for 20 minutes and already the magnets are falling off. The pieces are made from cheap foam, the magnetic strips are glued/stuck onto the edges of the foam pieces. The adhesive is weak. The magnets themselves are not very powerful and the pieces easily pull apart and do not hold a shape/structure. Certainly no defying gravity with this set! The pieces are a LOT smaller than I thought they would be. The whole set is very chintzy and it will not last long before it is falling apart. The set might be good if you are still teaching colors and shapes, or you can do counting exercises them or maybe stack them on top of each other. But they are not good enough quality for extensive building. They do not work well for their intended purpose. Very disappointing. WAY over priced....these are a $5.00 item, tops. [...]Go to the craft store & get the supplies to make this set yourself. I would not recommend this toy to a friend.

My grandson loves all things magnetic and this was perfect. Reasonably priced, too.
