I put this together alone today (57 yr old male) and had no trouble. You do need two people to move the box but if you cut it open, you can manage the individual pieces by yourself. Assembly is pretty painless overall (not that I enjoyed it or anything!). The instructions are mostly visual and can be vague at points - be sure to pay attention to what parts face the front of the cabinet (they should all be black) and which face the rear (they are all exposed particle board). If you are looking at your partially assembled unit from what you think is the front and you see any exposed particle board, stop and study the instructions carefully. You can easily install some components backward and they will fit just fine, unfortunately. The later you realize your mistake, the more undo/redo you have to do. The bottom slab of particle board is thicker and heavier than the top slab - I wasn't sure which was which and was hesitant to go further until I felt sure of myself. Pay attention to the not-altogether-clear indications in the photos showing the orientation of the grooves in the bottom and top slabs (they both should be on the front of the cabinet). On my unit, the wood trim pieces at either side of the cabinet are a very, very dark cherry color, so dark that they look black unless you're looking at them closely in relatively bright light. I like them better than those shown in the online photos. Also, the drawing of the cabinet showing dimensions suggests that these are grooved and look like a series of vertical slats attached to each other to make a curve. Mine are perfectly smooth, and I like that better too. My unit was very well packed and arrived with a couple of very minor dings hardly worth mentioning. It feels very sturdy and looks very good once assembled. I had looked at higher-end stuff (4x the price) and yes, it looked better - but not not nearly that much better! This was a good purchase and a good value. If it had casters it would be perfect.
Good value for the price

Overall good product for the price. I really liked the simple yet elegant design. Although no part is real hardwood, which is usually the case in most contemporary TV stands, it is decent quality. The sides are made of composite wood with real wood veneer and stain, so they look like real wood, but you will know when driving a screw in, the veneer will pop a little temporarily due to screw threads. Glass on the top and upright side columns have really nice finish, so it looks very nice from the side, but not as nice from the front. I think to improve front appearance, they should have used a little darker glass and put glossy finish on the front edges of the partition boards. I would have also liked plastic protectors on the wire holes on the back, so that the wood doesn't cut the wires in long run.
Beautiful Design, Sturdy, and Excellent Price

I just love the design, and the beauty of the cabinet, especially for the price. Assembly was easy, although the instructions have to be read carefully, because some parts are similar, like the top and the bottom. It came in one 140 lb box, delivered by regular UPS. Excellent packing ensured no damage. The top is glass with pressboard underneath. The box shape that supports the top makes it very strong. It supports our 65" Panasonic plasma TV which weighs 90 lbs. One reviewer commented about the bottom shelf sagging over time. The manufacturer has added 2 plastic legs, that can't be seen from the front. I was worried that over time, plastic may break, so I slid two 2x4's under the back of the cabinet. Each 2X4 is long enough to support both sides of the center shelf. The 2X4's thickness is just right for the space under the cabinet. I slid the first 2X4 up against the two plastic legs, and the second one close to the back of the cabinet. I have a very heavy amplifier/receiver, which I put in the bottom center cabinet, so I can pull it out and easily make connections.

Great looking stand only issue is with the top supporting weight. Make sure you have the middle plastic feet touching the floor to help support the weight. That will help to keep the middle from sagging.

This cabinet is beautiful. Needed assembly, but was easy to put together. I've had many complements on it. People were actually surprised I bought it on line without seeing it first. It was also a great price

The price was really good so obviously you can't expect all hardwood, but there were a lot of good things about this item. It came really quick, like in 2 days. It was packed well although there were a couple places with slight damage, but nothing really that significant. I liked the instructions. They are mostly pictures, but just examine them closely and it should be a piece of cake. In the end, it looked really nice as well. Overall, I am really happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

Loved the stand except that the center shelf is not deep enough to allow the sliding glass doors to open & close properly (my pioneer receiver is too deep and stick out, as a result). I fixed the problem it by creating a 6" x 12" cutout at the cabinet's rear backplane (at rear of the center shelf area. This step allowed my receiver to slide back far enough on the center bottom shelf that the front doors can now easily slide back and forth, as originally designed). Other than this minor problem thanks for a great product. John
Nice for the Price...

I had to give this three stars for the simple fact that, when I opened it, the glass top (which runs all the way across the unit) exploded into a zillion tiny pieces. I was being extremely careful and there was no reason for it to just disintegrate the way it did. I kept the unit as is (with no glass top) because it still looks just fine without the glass running across the top of the unit. My only other qualm is that the doors have strange handles...basically you put the glass panels into their tracks and use a glued foam piece to attach the handle to the glass so that it can slide...they're not especially effective. Had the packaging been better, I would have given the item a 4- or 5-star rating. It was simple to assemble and has a classic, contemporary look that's perfect for my space. It looks just like the picture, so if you're happy with the picture, you'll be happy with it in person.
