In 2005 Belgian designer Casimir created the label Vlaemsch ( ) for a new collection of design objects. Vlaemsch ( ) stands for Flemish traditions, humor, design, simplicity and sensibility, surrealism, non-sense, quality solidness and combines creativity with the high level of quality for both design and production. For Vlaemsch ( ) Casimir works together with a team of international designers who, in spite of their diverging nationalities, all share Casimirs's sense of humor and his determination to break away from general, traditional styles. Contrarily to Casimir's own label designs that are all manufacture red by craftsmen the Vlaemsch ( ) products are industrially produced, but both labels products are made in Belgium or its neighboring countries. Furthermore, Casimir Muebelen and Vlaemsch ( ) keep their entire supply chain, from the raw materials to the finished products and packaging, environmentally and socially friendly, while always delivering sustainable, high quality products.
Since the creation of Vlaemsch ( ) the collection has been on sale in 500 stores worldwide. In 2008 Vlaemsch ( ) was accorded an honorable mention in the Design Management Europe Award.
