About the Manufacturer

Founded in Weil am Rhein, Germany, in 1950 by Willi Fehlbaum, Vitra has been the retailer of the works of many internationally renowned furniture designers. Throughout those 50 years Vitra has had one goal: to make the place of work as appealing, productive, and healthy as possible. Vitra furniture can be found in countless successful companies and organizations, as well as in the homes of many private individuals with an affinity for design.

Convinced that rooms and interior design have a decisive influence on people's motivation, performance, and health, Vitra has made it their mission to develop furniture and furnishing systems that stimulate, inspire, and motivate, while also offering the body comfort, safety, and support. In order to attain this goal, Vitra has worked with their specialized team and renowned designers. Over the years, Vitra has exemplified that they are not afraid to experiment with new and bold ideas and eagerly anticipate and look forward to facing the new challenges of the world of work.

Vitra is vigorously persistent in creating products of the highest quality. Once in the factory, the Vitra staff manufactures the furniture to precise standards, individually ensuring the quality of each product. The focus on quality does not end at the factory door. Providing clients with premier service is just as important as manufacturing furniture. In order to further ensure the high quality in all Vitra products, Vitra has set up their own test center which monitors products against criteria that are far more stringent than the statutory standards.

Expensive for what you get

from Wesley Chapel, FL – Verified Buyer

The pictures make it hard to tell how these really look in person, but I bought them because the reviews were mostly great, and I saw a lot of pics of pretty cool things people have done with them. However, after seeing them hung, they look like cheap plastic. To actually hang this as a room divider, you have to purchase hooks separately and hang them from the ceiling. They are interesting but weird, and I'm not sure I'm a fan. I bought 4 boxes total, and for the expense ($115 for 25 pieces in one box), after seeing how little coverage you get out of them, it makes the expense not really worth it, in my opinion. Unusual & intersting Looks cheap & awkward

Great product. It comes with plenty of pieces. The Algue were bigger than expected. Just be sure to layout your design before clicking together the pieces as they are difficult to undo.

Great description - I saw this product last year in Argentina and was glad to finally find it on line. I used it to separate my kitchen to the hall entrance.

SO many opportunities for creativity!

from Erie, CO – Verified Buyer

LOVE. I had so much fun using the white branches to create a wall art piece on our bedroom wall. I started by laying a few pieces out on the floor. Using tiny pin nails I secured the first anchors to the wall, and then just went improve! The final result is beautiful and every dinner guest we've had is genuinely interested in the piece.

This is a really cool and versatile design element to build as you like and add to any room! Super easy assembly. I used it in two different configurations in both a master bedroom and guest room.

So Darn Cool!

from Philadelphia, PA – Verified Buyer

The Vitra Algue is amazing! It looks great in my tiny apartment as a space divider. It doesn't completely cut off the space and adds some visual interest.
