This rod is beautiful and elegant. I do have a window scarf over the top, so you can only really see the ends. I would advise getting something similar if you're considering this rod simply because the mid-section sags a bit since it doesn't have support. In essence, there isn't a bracket or a setting to lock the length in. It was relatively easy to install (despite many of the reviews I read) but did take about 15 minutes. It comes with all the pieces you need, though (besides tools).

This rod is awesome. I have vertical blinds that stick out so far off my wall and didn't think this would work but it did. I was able to adjust the bracket and hang curtains over my blinds. Im going to order one for every room. Seriously so easy and strong.

Umbra began in 1979, when boyhood friends, Paul Rowan and Les Mandelbaum joined forces to create exciting, everyday products that alter the overall aesthetic of a home, beginning with a printed window shade unlike anything then in the market ("umbra" means shade in latin).
Twenty-five years later, Umbra's award-winning design team - 22 men and women from all over the world and notable outside product designers, all under Paul Rowan's direction - remains the heart and soul of the company. Its offices worldwide now house more than 450 people.
