I have always been interested in art and design growing up, originally wanted to become an architect but then found out about industrial design through a high school teacher. During college I noticed the Bungee wallet and thought it was such a unique innovative idea and looked up Umbra for the first time. I was thrilled to see they were a Canadian design company based out of Toronto so I made it my goal to get in and make my mark. I love the fast paced environment here, and it seems that every day is different and always presents a new challenge to solve. It's also exciting to work so closely with such a great team, the entire company seems focused on the same goals, making it a great creative environment for spawning new fresh ideas.Dennis Cheng
Dennis' love for design originated from the desire to balance his artistic creativity and his engineering sensibilities. Dennis first started with Umbra as a product design intern while pursuing his co-op work experiences prior to his senior undergraduate year. After graduating from Carleton University's School of Industrial Design with high distinction in 2009, Dennis has since returned to become a part of the vibrant design team at Umbra.These three-dimensional Natural wall decor leaves by Umbra are an easy, graphic way to decorate your space. Made from lightweight, molded polypropylene, they mount to the wall in endless configurations using the included removable adhesives.

Umbra began in 1979, when boyhood friends, Paul Rowan and Les Mandelbaum joined forces to create exciting, everyday products that alter the overall aesthetic of a home, beginning with a printed window shade unlike anything then in the market ("umbra" means shade in latin).
Twenty-five years later, Umbra's award-winning design team - 22 men and women from all over the world and notable outside product designers, all under Paul Rowan's direction - remains the heart and soul of the company. Its offices worldwide now house more than 450 people.
