The bronze color is a refreshing option to black or silver. Can is very sturdy and fits your standard 13-gallon bag very snugly. Only thing is the top can get hung open esp upon first assembly and subsequent bag changes, due to improper hinge hole alignment. We always think we've broken it, but no! Had it for a month now, hope to keep it for many years.

This Step Waste Can is the Pitts!! It arrives, Does not mentioned in the description that it has to be assembled. The lid does not fit properly into the holes where it is supposed to go. The directions described it as just clicking the lid in. After a hour of trying to just click the lid in for a hour. I did what another person did in these reviews, I hammered it in. That was also not easy. Leans forward, Step is described in description as metal but it is plastic. Don't waste your money on this cheap can.
This can is not trashy

This waste can was the perfect addition to my kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The height is a bit taller than the average 13 gallon trash can, which I love!

Umbra began in 1979, when boyhood friends, Paul Rowan and Les Mandelbaum joined forces to create exciting, everyday products that alter the overall aesthetic of a home, beginning with a printed window shade unlike anything then in the market ("umbra" means shade in latin).
Twenty-five years later, Umbra's award-winning design team - 22 men and women from all over the world and notable outside product designers, all under Paul Rowan's direction - remains the heart and soul of the company. Its offices worldwide now house more than 450 people.
