The can is fine but the mechanism for the step on does not function. I didn't send it back...just too much hassle.

This can was a very nice addition to our kitchen. Perfect size, holds bag perfectly.

This was my alternative to stainless which gets full of marks and finger prints and honestly it looks very cool it is a type of plastic that does not look plastic like. I would have made the pedal a little more quality looking if I were these guys though.
Hard to put together

The instructions for this trash can are pretty terrible. It took me almost an hour to figure out how to put it lid on properly so the step worked. Once I finally figured that out, the lid is kinda funky and takes a long time to close once you let go of the step. Other than that, it's a great trash can.
Great Trash Can

I have searched all over, with most being very expensive, this one was very reasonable looks great and functions well. Very happy with my purchase.
Okay, but not worth the price.

This is a beautiful trashcan but for $42 it is not practical. If the trash can is not full, the can will tilt forward. The delayed closing of the top is awesome.
Amy from Benbrook, TX– Verified Buyer
Has a part in it that snaps over the bag that holds the trash bag in place. That right there makes it worth buying. No more bags collapsing down in the can when you place something heavy in it. Looks nice!

Love, love love it! I have been looking for a kitchen trash can for a long time. The prices are so outrageous for stainless steel, not to mention all the electronic options out there. I wanted a simple nice looking unit, it is for trash isn't it? This fit the bill and the price was great.
The U+ Studio Collection, which offers a range of sophisticated aesthetics from raw to sleek, can be found exclusively at contemporary design retail specialists.
Umbra began in 1979, when boyhood friends, Paul Rowan and Les Mandelbaum joined forces to create exciting, everyday products that alter the overall aesthetic of a home, beginning with a printed window shade unlike anything then in the market ("umbra" means shade in latin).
Twenty-five years later, Umbra's award-winning design team - 22 men and women from all over the world and notable outside product designers, all under Paul Rowan's direction - remains the heart and soul of the company. Its offices worldwide now house more than 450 people.
