Thomas Paul was born and raised in New York City. He got his start in the fashion business working as an intern at DKNY in the mid-nineties after graduating from New York's Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in textile design. While working as a colorist and designer for a silk mill specializing in neckwear and scarves, he worked on neckwear collections for such designers as Bill Blass, Calvin Klein, and DKNY. This eventually led to the creation of his neckwear collection, the short-lived digitizes in the late 90's.

Thomas Paul Ornithology Shower Curtain

I gave this shower curtain as a gift for my sister. She adores the design and quality. I wanted the artwork to be more subtle--it's less nuanced when blown up curtain size. Nevertheless, it's beautiful and would transform any space.

The large birds on this shower curtain are the perfect touch to the bath; they are modern art without busy-ness or clutter.
Fun shower curtain

I really like the print on the shower curtain. The curtain is large and should fit most shower and tub arrangements. Personally, I wish the background was white, not a vanilla ice cream color (it is not taupe), but the background works with the color of the birds. The only reason I did not give this five stars is because the heavy fabric does not dry out very well, and I'm concerned that after multiple showers it may get stained our promote mold growth. Only a few inches of the bottom of the curtain is exposed to water, but nonetheless, this could be an issue. I may try reconfiguring the curtain to avoid it getting wet. Also, I am still unsure how to clean the curtain. I'm hoping it is machine washable!
