Thomas Paul was born and raised in New York City. He got his start in the fashion business working as an intern at DKNY in the mid-nineties after graduating from New York's Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in textile design. While working as a colorist and designer for a silk mill specializing in neckwear and scarves, he worked on neckwear collections for such designers as Bill Blass, Calvin Klein, and DKNY. This eventually led to the creation of his neckwear collection, the short-lived digitizes in the late 90's.

Thomas Paul Curiosities Oology Pillow

This whole line of pillows is so beautiful, but I especially love this one. I'm redoing a living room and using a lot of textured neutrals. This pillow--this single item has allowed me to work in other colors and really has brought the neutrals to life. The front has the beautifully detailed graphic of the three nests in deep brown, the piping on the edge is robin's egg blue and the eggs on the back are olive, lilac, yellow and robin's egg. It's a great piece to build an eclectic color scheme around. The fabric is linen with enough body to it to support the feather pillow but still with some pleasant give. I'm really please with this item.
