Once your child is over 30lbs you can easily convert the Unite to a belt positioning booster and use up to 100 lbs. Once your child moves to the belt positioning booster mode, the five point harness stores conveniently in a compartment located under the seat pads. This means you do not have to remove the harness and your child continues to be comfortable as the harness "hides away" under the seat pad.
