About the Designer
Ricardo Marcal (1979 - )

Born 1979 in Hamburg, Germany, Ricardo is second to none when it comes to product development. His attention to detail brought Tema Home some of the finest designs they have ever produced. A graduate of the 2004 Product design and engineering of Institute of technology in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, Ricardo developed projects for the Jasmin Glass Studio and art for the JadeTree record label early in his career. Currently, Ricardo attends to the Porto University where he is obtaining his Master degree in Industrial design.

The Shell is the reinvention of the bookcase! This rotating unit was designed to literally delivery a "spin" to the any living space. Featuring 3 partitions, this cool piece adds additional storage and a hint of sophistication to any space.
