So far, so good
Nicole from Houston, TX– Verified Buyer
Ordered 2 of these. So far they seem to be pretty good and they do look very nice in my kids rooms. Assembly looked daunting, but as I got going it wasn't so bad. It took me about 3 hours to do one myself(with interruptions from my kids). The drawers are what take a long time. If you have 1 person start the drawers while someone else does the main part, it probably wouldn't take long. I was a little concerned that they won't hold up because the tracks for the drawers are plastic, but so far seem to work just fine. The drawers don't hold quite as much as they look like they should. The sides and backs of them are not as deep as the drawer fronts make them look, they work fine for my kids stuff, but adults may not be able to fit as much. Definitely anchor them to the wall! My son already tipped one on himself. Luckily they're not super heavy and he's ok. Overall, they are good for the price, and I hope for them to last a few years.
South shore dresser

I purchased 3 of these while they were on sale. Have only put together 2 so far and the second one was MUCH EASIER. The directions are very long and detailed. At the beginning of each step it tells you what parts you need. Sort out the parts per the parts list before you start and make sure you have every part handy when you start a new step. There are no spare parts provided. ( although after the first one I had 3 leftover connectorsscrews and only one after the 2nd, haha). These look nice for what I paid. Would be better if the drawer glides were metal instead of plastic, but so far so good. A few small chips that I filled in with the provided marker, not worth sending back over. This was much larger than I thought it would be, I would say the drawers are a medium size. They are wide but not as deep as I would like. Overall a good purchase if you have a day to put it together.
Decent piece for the price.

You have to take expectations into account with this piece. Our expectations were a simple looking piece for a cheap price that will function for the next few years. It is a sturdy enough piece, everything was well-packaged so there was no damage, and I have no complaints about it. It doesn't look like an expensive piece of furniture, but I do like the drawer slides and is actually larger than I was expecting. It did take a while to put together but was not difficult, even for me, 5 months pregnant with twins and a crazy 2 year old running around. I am an experienced DIYer though.
Good Dresser, Tedious Assembly

Cons: Assembly took HOURS. Luckily I had assistance from a handy relative but it still took us 5 hours to put it together. A little difficulty configuring drawers in dresser so they all aligned evenly.

I bought this on sale and would say it was worth the price I paid for it but otherwise not worth a lot. It is sturdy but very difficult to put together. Its very sensitive and if you put something together in the wrong way it will not work out right at the end (so please read the manual) My husband didn't think he needed to and his has issues and I put my drawer together and read the manual and it turned out fine.
Decent dresser for the price

We ordered this dresser for my son's nursery. For the price we paid, it will work for at least a couple of years. The parts are somewhat cheap looking and there are lots of them! Despite other reviewers saying it was difficult to put together, my husband found it was rather easy and completed it over the course of 2 days (about 3 hrs total). Once completed it fits our modern nursery very well and the drawers are deeper than I thought.
Matches my bedroom set

South Shore items have always been difficult to put together (I've had many South Shore products). With two people it takes about 2.5-3 hours, possible to do it in less time though. Definitely possible to do it by yourself but easier if you have help. Looks great in my bedroom and is just what we needed.

Again, I am using this in a spare bedroom and I think it will last bc it won't get much use. As stated in the other reviews it took my husband and I quite a long time to assemble. I knew this ahead of time by reading the reviews so we just took our time. The direction were minimal but we figured everything out and it turned out perfect. For the money and free delivery, you can't beat it.
Fine but chipped
Julie from Princeton, NJ– Verified Buyer
product is good for money. The only problem is that one of our drawers had a chip right across the front of a drawer but as we had more or less assembled the whole item before noticing it we really did not want to send it back and start over again as it takes quite a long time to assemble. Have used it in the dressing room/ walk in robe so that it is out of the way.

This dresser is ok. The dresser was REALLY hard to put together. It took several hours to finally get it all put together. It looks pretty good now that it's done or I wouldn't have even given it three stars. There are some minor paint chips that are kind of disappointing since it came like that. Overall it's a decent dresser. Really hard to put together, but it looks ok once it's done.
