Wobbly! I knew my cats would love this, but because it doesn't fit snugly, the perch would shift and move a bit when they'd jump up. A small piece of non-skid rug pad solved the issue, and now it's always in use! The manufacturer should find a way around this, because it's a terrific idea! |

Irresistable to Cats! The Ultimate Scratching Post is like a cat magnet. The moment it arrived our cat was attracted to its sisal covering, which is much more satisfying to her clawing needs than any piece of furniture. She begins every day working out on it and returns to it often. The perch has also been a big success. Sometimes she leaps up onto it and sometimes climbs the post as she would a tree and settles down to enjoy the elevated view. Our cat is relatively a relatively small 7 1/2 pounds. A very large cat might find the perch less comfortable for long stays. The sturdy base on the post means there is never any tipping. Attaching the perch to the post was not, however, as simple as the directions suggested, because the fit was not perfect. The opening on the bottom of the perch was too much wider than the wooden platform at the top of the post for the two to fit tightly together. In order to keep the perch from slipping off the post, I had to add some weather stripping on one edge of the perch's coupling structure and use a short mending plate in pace of one of the two plastic flanges supplied in order to bridge the gap between perch and the side of the top platform of the post. In spite of the inconvenience of having to make these adjustments, I would enthusiastically recommend this post and perch combination. |

A must for the Ultimate Scratching Post. If you are purchasing the Ultimate Scratching Post, you MUST get the Ultimate Post Perch, to give your kitty the added bonus of a little seat or, in the case of my 12 week old kitten, a landing/launching pad. By adding the Ultimate Post Perch to the Ultimate Scratching Post, it's like getting two products in one... a great scratching post and a mini cat tree. The Post Perch simply slides on the top of the Ultimate Scratching Post and comes with velcro straps to secure it to the post. I would highly recommend this product. |

I would buy again We love this product. It is easy to assemble and our cat loves it. It would be nice if it came in a more neutral color but the quality is excellent. |

A must have! You can't buy the post with out this. This is one of the best parts. My cats love to climb and sit on top. Expecially by a window. But that doesn't really matter. They just love it. Excellent! Awesome idea. I did alot of research before buying a scratching post and I would definatly recommend this w/ the "ulitumate scratching post"! |

All my cats love it I hesitated in buying the perch for the Ultimate Scratching Post in order to save money but decided at the last moment to buy them together. It was absolutely worth it!! My 6 cats love the perch and take turns lounging on it. It puts them at a convenient height, so whenever anyone walks past (it is in a high-traffic area), they get petted. I did not like the red color of the cover, but it was easy to put a favorite, washable fabric on top (like leopard-pattern, fuzzy fake fur). A draw string keeps it easily in place. It now looks very beautiful. The scratching post is also getting much use, and the cats prefer it over the smaller one I have. The post and perch require little space, are sturdy and attractive, durable, easy to keep clean--and the cats love them both. |

WHATTA LETDOWN!!! I was REALLY looking forward to getting this PERCH to attach on top of the Post. Disappointment is an Understatement for how I felt when I actually SAW it!!! My CAT tried it out & HATES it!! It's WAY TOO SMALL for an ADULT MALE CAT, so save your money if you've got one!! Seems to me that with a Post like a "tree-trunk," the manufacturer could have given us a couple more inches on each side so LARGER cats could also enjoy the PERCH! A complete waste of money!!! |
