Perfect first bike for a toddler from Boston, MA on 02/24/2011
You should have seen my 2 year old's face when she saw the big box with a bike photo on it! She lit up like a light bulb! What is it with toddlers and anything with wheels? We unpacked the box and it took about 5 minutes to put the bike together, it was really easy and intuitive, didn't even need the instructions (my husband did it). Since it is winter outside and snow banks abound, we tried it out indoors. At this point I can't say how it is for the baby to ride because my toddler's toes are about 1" from reaching the floor when sitting on the bike, she can't yet ride by herself and needs me to help her balance and not fall off. She is 32" tall, so keep in mind that this bike will not work for most two year olds under 33" - not that they don't grow fast, it will fit in no time. I really like that the seat is adjustable, so it will last us a while. It seems quite sturdy, not at all flimsy, even though it isn't solid wood (but something like pressed board). I like how the steering wheel is designed in such a way that you can't make a very sharp sudden turn which would result in a fall. It doesn't turn 180 degrees, but more like 120-140 maybe, which makes it more stable and great for learning. I really appreciate the handle that makes it convenient for me to carry. The only thing I would change about it is lowering the frame even more so it would fit even tiny two year olds like my daughter. It would also be nice if there was something to put the feet on when gliding on the bike. Of course that in no way takes any points away from the function of the product. Disclaimer: I was given a gift certificate by Wayfairs for the purpose of acquiring this product for review.

D.A.R.L.I.N.G. Bike for Little ones from Portland, OR on 10/15/2014 – Verified Buyer
This may be the most darling thing I have purchased for the little ones in my life. This rugged little balance bike is perfect for those little ones who feel too grown-up for the 3-wheeled type and will be so helpful in teaching them to balance in preparation of learning a two-wheeler down the road a bit. I am delighted with the real tires (not stiff plastic ones) and that there are no open spokes to tangle little feet, hands, or clothing. The seat is adjustable and the handlebars have wonderful grips. Really, I could not be happier with this purchase.

Must purchase! Great bike! from columbia, SC on 09/18/2014 – Verified Buyer– Top 500 Reviewer
My 2 1/2 year old son is obsessed with motorcycles. Since I can't get him one of those, I bought him this thinking he might like it. I was right! He loves it! He doesn't like to pedal things so this was perfect. It only took him 1 day to get the hang of it. Now he is a pro. Our neighbors cannot believe how good he is and how fast. He even does tricks! He will be ready for a bike without training wheels very soon!

Every toddler's first bike from Minneapolis, MN on 05/05/2014 – Verified Buyer
My 4 year old daughter loves this bike! She's going to be to big for it pretty soon, but she still loves riding it. The seat is adjustable and goes down pretty low to accommodate smaller children. This is a must have bike for any toddler starting to learn to ride a bike. The handle bars only turn about 30 degrees in either direction to prevent the bike from jackknifing and the wheels are child proofed with no spokes for fingers to get caught in. This bike might make training wheels obsolete. Some assembly is required, but all the tools needed are included.

Great for 2-3 year olds from Charlotte, NC on 09/25/2014 – Verified Buyer
This balance bike is awesome. The only problem is that it's slated for 2-4 yr. olds, so I bought it for my grandson's 4th birthday, and it's too small for him. I think it should be for 2-3 year olds.

Questions & Answers

"Hi, I want to know what the seat and handle bar grips are made of. Is it PVC?" — Liza
"Hello Liza, they have seats that are cushioned leatherette seats and rubberized handle bar grips. The bikes are made from birch wood with a real inflatable rubber tires."
— Yun from Wayfair
