first birthday gift

The perfect size for our little Beethoven! Quality is good since it stands up well to being banged on by a one year old.
Fun for the little ones

I got this for my one year old nephew for Christmas and though he hasnt opened it yet, my son (2 years old) had at it when I opened the box to have a look. It has a very nice and sleek design and most importantly, the sound is not offensive, nor is it too loud. Just right for little tykes to strike the keys and have some fun. My son enjoyed it so much that I bought him one as well!
Not what I expected
Jamie Jam from Fayetteville, NC– Verified Buyer
I bought this item for my son and I was expecting a small but good quality piano. Unfortunately, the piano was very very small... and does not sound very good at all, sometimes when you hit keys they don't even make a noise unless you hit it very hard. The one good thing that I can say about it is that it looks nice, good quality paint finish. Overall I wouldn't recommend it.
Made to last...

Very well made...will last for years. Nice finish on the piano. I do wish, however, that the back corner's were rounded. Sharp corners for a 1 to 2 year old.

THis is a real quality product. The piano is not a toy, but a real instrument with full size keys. It is a terrific gift for the toddler/preschooler beginner on piano.

Studies show that children who are introduced to music at an early age benefit in many ways and perform better academically. Piano playing develops creativity, enhances motor skills, and promotes social interaction and self-esteem. Schoenhut's patented Learning System, with its play-by-color teaching method, was developed to encourage basic music skills and make playing simple and fun. A removable color strip fits behind the keys to guide small fingers from chord to chord. The chart adapts perfectly to full-sized pianos because keys on Schoenhut toy pianos are of corresponding width, thus teaching children proper "finger stretch" from the very beginning and making the transition to a large piano easy. Each toy piano has one to three octaves, depending on the model, compared with seven and a half on an adult piano. The Learning System Songbook contains a collection of familiar tunes.
Demonstrating their durability, longevity, and collectability, Schoenhut vintage toy pianos are featured at a number of prestigious museums and galleries. One such exhibit at Strong Museum in Rochester, NY provides an overview of the company's rich and interesting heritage. For the finest quality toy pianos, complete customer satisfaction, and knowing your investment may become a treasured heirloom, go with the name you can trust: Schoenhut.
