I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised quality of this product. Being able to interview some music to my baby at an early age is something that I'm extremely excited for in this product allows me to do you so the color is incredible it messes the motive also the quality of the wood is very sturdy and very secure were a little child. One added bonus is that you actually get sheet music as well as the Key Stickers to be able to place over the black-and-white keys so that as your child begins to learn music they can be able to associate sheet music to the actual music that they are playing. I think this is incredible and was very insightful of the company to be will include such a feature. If there was anything that I would improve, it would be the actual piano sound of this instrument. I think instead of providing a piano sound they opted to provide a bell sound which is fine for little kid but as they begin to learn instruments and get older I think this might be an area for confusion. I would of preferred to have a instrument that sounds more like a piano. All in all this is a terrific product and I am looking forward to using it to introduce music to my little baby over the coming years.

My 2 year old loves this piano! She loves to pretend to play music and she sings made up songs to it- too cute. My only complaint is the decals can easily tear when you screw in the bottom pieces. They should include a color coordinated washer to protect the decal from the head of the screw. This is the only reason I docked this item one star. Other than the decal, I would say this is very well made and it gets great sound for a toy piano. What a great way to introduce a child to music:)

Studies show that children who are introduced to music at an early age benefit in many ways and perform better academically. Piano playing develops creativity, enhances motor skills, and promotes social interaction and self-esteem. Schoenhut's patented Learning System, with its play-by-color teaching method, was developed to encourage basic music skills and make playing simple and fun. A removable color strip fits behind the keys to guide small fingers from chord to chord. The chart adapts perfectly to full-sized pianos because keys on Schoenhut toy pianos are of corresponding width, thus teaching children proper "finger stretch" from the very beginning and making the transition to a large piano easy. Each toy piano has one to three octaves, depending on the model, compared with seven and a half on an adult piano. The Learning System Songbook contains a collection of familiar tunes.
Demonstrating their durability, longevity, and collectability, Schoenhut vintage toy pianos are featured at a number of prestigious museums and galleries. One such exhibit at Strong Museum in Rochester, NY provides an overview of the company's rich and interesting heritage. For the finest quality toy pianos, complete customer satisfaction, and knowing your investment may become a treasured heirloom, go with the name you can trust: Schoenhut.
