Schoenhut 15 String Harp in Cherry
Cute toy won't hold tune
fun family from Santa Cruz, CA– Verified Buyer
If you want a cut toy right down to the darling bench, this is a great buy. If you are looking for a harp for a beginer to actually play I'd look for a different harp. It does not hold it's tune for even a day. It really looks great in our family room however.

My daughter is 7 and she loves this harp. WE put it on a stool so it would be tall enough for her, she is very tall for 7. We do have to tune it daily, so be prepared!
Perfect for a budding harpist
Grandma Julie from Nevada County, CA– Verified Buyer
My granddaughter, Adrienne, 18 months old, is fascinated with harps. She immediately began strumming the strings, as she had seen other harpists do. (And she loves the little bench!) The only problem with the harp is the strings. So far, we haven't been able to tune them properly and may need to take the harp to get the strings replaced. So far, Adi hasn't seemed to mind the tuning problem, but I hope we can get it fixed.
Studies show that children who are introduced to music at an early age benefit in many ways and perform better academically. Piano playing develops creativity, enhances motor skills, and promotes social interaction and self-esteem. Schoenhut's patented Learning System, with its play-by-color teaching method, was developed to encourage basic music skills and make playing simple and fun. A removable color strip fits behind the keys to guide small fingers from chord to chord. The chart adapts perfectly to full-sized pianos because keys on Schoenhut toy pianos are of corresponding width, thus teaching children proper "finger stretch" from the very beginning and making the transition to a large piano easy. Each toy piano has one to three octaves, depending on the model, compared with seven and a half on an adult piano. The Learning System Songbook contains a collection of familiar tunes.
Demonstrating their durability, longevity, and collectability, Schoenhut vintage toy pianos are featured at a number of prestigious museums and galleries. One such exhibit at Strong Museum in Rochester, NY provides an overview of the company's rich and interesting heritage. For the finest quality toy pianos, complete customer satisfaction, and knowing your investment may become a treasured heirloom, go with the name you can trust: Schoenhut.
