In the spring of 2004, the design duo RoomMate, alias Christine Schwarzer and Anne Birgitte Balle, decided to create an innovative product line for children. The focus point was to create positive and stimulating settings for creative children's play. With designs perfect for sitting on, playing with and building dens, Christine Schwarzer and Anne Birgitte Balle's unique products function as funny and charming design inputs for the grown-up environment as well. As children often prefer to be in the same room as grown-ups, these two wanted their products to be able to function alongside the rest of the furniture.

In the spring of 2004, the design duo RoomMate, alias Christine Schwarzer and Anne Birgitte Balle, decided to create an innovative product line for children. The focus point was to create positive and stimulating settings for creative children's play. They wanted to create a series of children's furniture with an innovative expression, giving room to play, and space for fantasies and absorption. The unique designs can be used for sitting on, but are also perfect for playing with and building dens. Their hope is that many children, parents and grandparents will enjoy the special products which are the fruit of RoomMate's deepest commitment.
