Roland Simmons Lumalight 72 Model Table or Floor Lamp

When we first opened this unassembled lamp and examined the pieces, we were astonished that we just paid over 200 for a piece of cardboard and some plastic links. But once the lamp came together, it was pretty amazing. It is a unique, eye catching piece of decor, and we are very pleased with the purchase.

Great lamp, a little bigger than I expected, but fits very well. Great designer work, amazingly simple construction and basic materials.

This lamp looks nice at night lit up. The glow is soft and the light ambient. However. It is not worth $278. (I bought the tall one as I wanted a drama look in the corner). It zips together and some of the corrugation was crushed. It had to turn it so that didn't show and the zipper didn't show. It is held together by a plastic top and bottom. Because of the cord coming out the bottom It wont' sit perfectly level. It is nice but not worth the high price.

Very nice floor lamp. Beautiful design and lighting. Tall and fills high ceiling rooms. Easy and quick to put together.

It would be perfect it it were weighted at the bottom so as to be more stable.

Really cool design that looks good whether lit or off. Pretty easy to assemble, though the body is rather delicate, making it tricky to relocate once assembled.

We bought this lamp to replace a similar-looking vertical one whose plastic shade had fractured from age. This original light had 2 regular light sockets that took compact fluorescent bulbs that gave out much more light than the tiny old-style 40W bulbs that came with the new light. So, we slid the new shade down over the original lamp frame and now have a very attractive light that provides reasonable illumination. Too bad the new light didn't come this way from the start!

Fabulous atmospheric lighting. Rich & warm. I ordered the white shade. Lots of positive comments from friends, neighbors, and even delivery men. Very fun and easy to assemble.

This floor lamp provides soft, diffused light. It's perfect for a funky architectural element in a room. However, do not rely on it for a major source for illumination or as a reading. Well made and relatively easy to put together. The actual signature by the designer is a nice touch.
