About the Designer
Raul Barbieri Italy (1946 - )
Raul Barbieri was born in Milan in 1946. After having taken his degree in Architecture at Milan's Polytechnic, he started to work initially as a professional associate. In 1989, he founded his own practice in Milan which specialized in design, corporate identity and architectural planning. The design and realization of a neighborhood of semi-detached houses in Milan - in the Citt Studi area, which in 1999 was presented in London on the occasion of the exhibition 'Golden Compass ADI Architectural Design', date back to this period. Barbieri has cooperated with various design schools and has held short courses on design at the 'Ecole Nationale Suprieure de Cration Industrielle, Les Ateliers' of Paris and the European Design Institute of Milan. He has had a long-standing cooperation with ADI, the Association for Industrial Design in his capacity as coordinator of the department of designers. Many of his designs have been awarded prizes or selected in major international design competitions.
Made of brushed-finish 0.8 mm-thick AISI 304 stainless steel with invisible welding seams, safety rounded edges and floor-protecting rubber trim. It can be equipped with bag holder. The ash trays are available in three different versions.
