We had these blinds in another color hanging on our west-side open covered porch for 11 years. Despite being outside year-round through summer heat, winter snow, and frequent wind, hail and rainstorms, they were still fully functional although a bit bent and faded. We replaced them with these white blinds after changing porch furniture. The new blinds are the same with the exception of an improved pully mechanism which is now metal rather than plastic. Although they were easy to find in stores 11 years ago, Wayfair is the only place I found them this time and it was worth the search. They are incredibly easy to hang. The light weight allows them to move with breezes while blocking the heat of the sun. Much better than traditional slat blinds or heavy roll-up fabric. I lower them every day during the afternoon and they can reduce the temperature on my porch by at least 5 degrees, also reducing the temperature in the room inside the house. These are an incredible bargain in every way and they look fantastic.
Annoying safety feature
Tiffany from Illinois
There is some sort of mechanism in these blinds that is a child safety feature of some sort and it is just an annoying pain. I have small children and I'm all about safety, but this mechanism makes it nearly impossible to get the blinds up and down. There has to be a better way. It seems like the larger size the blind is the more difficulty it has. If it weren't for that one little problem then I would definitely give it five stars.

Great choice for an inexpensive outdoor blind. Works great for privacy out on the back deck. It was a little smashed when it arrived due to some issues during transit. We still hung it up though and it works great. We didn't want to bother anyone with sending out a new one. It's worked out just fine for what we needed.
14 oval PVC exterior blinds

I purchased 2ea 8'L and 4ea 6'L blinds. The blinds themselves are great but the packaging leaves much to be desired. Although I was sent replacement hardware pieces that were damaged in shipment, there was still damage to the PVC stringers and to the lacing of some of the 6L blinds due to poor packaging. Just wrapping them in small bubble warp would had prevented the in shipment damage. The customer service is outstanding and I would have replaced the blinds but repackaging 6' long blinds is not an easy proposition.

Bought these for our patio. Exactly as shown. Second set, the other lasted over 8 years and hang out rolled up all winter. Good product!

We needed these blinds to replace the ancient blinds on our exterior front porch. These matched the old ones so perfectly that I did not even have to change the location of the hooks that they hang on. They seem very well made and I expect that we won't have to order another replacement set for twenty years or so. Hope that you still have them in stock then. Thanks.

Purchased 5 blinds as replacement sun shades for my screen porch. Exact replacement for what I had installed several years ago. Easy to size to fit, cutting the ends with a circular saw when rolled tight. Installed in few minutes, maybe 30 minutes total for the 5 blinds.
Nice inexpensive shades

I got these for my screened room on my deck because the summer sun really heats it up in the afternoon and the sun is in our eyes if we have dinner out there. The addition of the shades kept the room much cooler! A some sun still shines through the cracks, but overall keeps the sun out of our eyes late in the day. These were easy to install (we did outside top mount) and easy to use. They are a little flimsy, but look nice!
Exactly what we wanted

We had these blinds in natural color for 12 years on our open back porch located on the west side of our house. Although they were a bit damaged due to bad weather over those years (they remained hanging outside year-round through wind-storms, snow, hail, and hot summer temps), they were still fully functional and looked decent. We decided to get new white ones when we changed the porch furniture. The gripping mechanism is now metal, which we think will be a great improvement over the previous plastic. They are incredibly easy to hang and can lower the temperature on our porch by several degrees on a sunny day, in turn lowering the indoor temperature in that area of the house. They are extremely light weight and move easily in a breeze. Although these were easy to find in stores 12 years ago, we only found them online this time and they are worth the search.

We bought five of these shades to shield the stucco from the sun, hanging them from the facia, 2.5 feet away form the stucco. The clear plastic tab, secured at the top rail, holding each of the cords used to roll up the shade broke on every shade, probably from uv. This occurred within five months after hanging them. I made a knot in each end of the cords and looped the knot over the rail securing point where the plastic tabs broke. This was the first year. We let the shades down for the second year screening and the cords themselves broke, making it impossible to roll them up. The cords broke on all five shades. We paid $248 and change for the shades, expecting more than a year of use.
