The story of Prince Lionheart began humbly in 1973, when its founders began crafting handmade rocking horses in their garage. Over the years, they grew along with the children who used those rocking horses. Now they've moved out of the garage but, after over three decades of innovation, are proud Prince Lionheart is still family owned. We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. This was a birthday and unbirthday present for the granddaughters so they don't fight over it. They really seemed to enjoy riding on the hardwood floors but had a hard time on the rugs (which is understandable) until they get the hang of maneuvering it.

Got the large wheelie bug, even though it is slightly too large for my 19 month old right now, so she could grow into it. Right now she likes to sit on it while we push her slowly, but I know she's going to love it when she can maneuver it on her own.
It's very durable and there was absolutely no assembly required, much to my delight.
I'm a little worried because the wheelie bug can roll *really* fast on a smooth, flat surface, so we're going to watch her carefully once she's able to use it on her own, but it's low enough to the ground that I don't consider it unsafe.
Overall, I'm completely happy with the purchase, and I'm looking forward to my daughter having a blast with it over the next couple of years.

My 18 month old son loves his 'bug.' It is super easy to scoot or push and is great for those toddlers who have tons of energy--around, and around, and around the house they go. In fact, he now scoots so quickly around the house he has mastered skidding around corners!
There are two features that makes the LARGE Wheely Bug Bee worth it above all other ride-on toys: 1) all four wheels turn in any directions so that your child can easily maneuver around corners (no pick it up, turn, and set it down motions needed), and 2) there aren't any obstructions to your child swinging his/her leg over the 'bug' to get on and off.
Note: We tried the small wheely bug, but we found that by the time our son was walking stable (since the 'bug' rolls very quickly/easily), the small bug fit him just right--therefore, it'd be to small in a month or so. I do not recommend the small/large bugs for children who are new or unstable walkers.

We bought this for my daughter for Christmas, when she was 18 months old. We got the large sized bee. At 18 months, her legs were barely long enough to reach the floor, but she still loved pushing it by the handle. Now she is two, and 36" tall. She can get around on it just fine, she loves to scoot all around on it. We have carpet in most of our house, and it rolls just fine on carpet. On the tile, it rolls pretty fast, so I have to keep an eye on her when she is in the kitchen with it. It can roll in any direction, unlike most ride ons. I think she will get use out of it for years to come. Its very sturdy and well made. Glad I got the large. If you have a taller than average child like mine, get the large. If your child is a bit on the shorter side, consider the small.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My 11 month old grandson LOVES this toy. He uses it to walk and I think when he gets older he will love riding on it. The swivel casters make it much more fun.
