Carmine Deganello Since graduating from Florence ISIA in 2002, Carmine Deganello has been working across the Atlantic. Now based in Milan, Carmine works as a product and architectural designer. His most recent work is the realization of the Dangerous Work store in Milan. Over the years he has collaborated with the Gaetano Pesce Studio in New York and the Cibic&Partners Studio in Milan, where he supervised the executive development of design projects. Carmine's empirical, highly experimental approach takes materiality and the creative process as its starting points and focus. Research on materials and the ways in which it can unexpectedly drive the productive process is always a crucial aspect of his work, as shown, for example, by Valveola, his ceramic suspension lamp presented at the 2006 Ceramics Biennale of Albissola. His last project has been presented at this year's Milan international furniture show, the Salone, and is now part of the permanent collection of the MAK Museum for applied and contemporary art in Vienna.
