Cuts well but the handle makes it slightly hard to work with sometimes. However, I did buy a slicer with a handle so I suppose I ran that risk. Definitely putting it to use and hoping the blade will stay as sharp for a while!
Easy to use

I found this kitchen helper to be a great value. It's easy to use and clean, has adjustable thickness settings, and works like a champ on apples, sweet potatoes, and more. It seems to be fine in the dishwasher and doesn't take up too much space, so perfect for my small kitchen. I would recommend to a friend.

I've been looking for an inexpensive mandolin for home use and this one is affordable but more importantly works well. By moving the small side black button, it adjusts to three different settings: (1) Wafer-thin -- add to recipes like carrot cake (2) Medium thin -- good for potato chips (3) Average thin -- nicely sliced cucumber. Very easy and quick to use. I save a lot of time trying to cut-up consistently sliced pieces despite having trained knife skills! Top knob pierces food and guards those fingers. Works well over a kitchen bowl. It's a good product for the home chef.

I bought this on a whim and used it for the first time yesterday. I must say Im in love! I perfectly sliced veggies for a salad in minutes and cant wait to find out what else I can slice! There are 3 slice settings, its super easy to clean, and incredibly sharp (be careful!) I will honestly recommend this to everyone I meet (seems excessive, I know, but I mean it.)

I've never used a mandoline before, but this seems to do the trick for homemade baked potato chips! Very easy to use, will always recommend OXO products.
The OXO Good Grips line has been recognized by several national and international organizations for superior design and today is regarded as one of the icons of Universal Design.
The goal of making products more usable forces OXO's product designers to first identify problems and inefficiencies of existing products (including their own), not only in terms of comfort, but performance as well. This gives them the foundation to meet their commitment of making only products that offer tangible improvements. Each year, OXO introduces more than 50 products. Many of these products take more than two years to develop. In fact, a few of the products never make it to the market because they fail to meet the OXO criteria.
The line has grown to more than 500 innovative products covering many areas of the home. Since founder Sam Farber sold the company and retired from OXO in 1995, the company was purchased in 1999 by World Kitchen, Inc., a housewares company based in Reston, Virginia, and then again in 2004 by Helen of Troy Limited. Today, OXO continues to be focused on creating innovative solutions for problems that users experience in their everyday tasks.
